You will never change until you start. The great obstacle is not in front of you, but it is you. Cut the rope to the soul ties that hold you back. Break free from the past that you would step into your future. Stop saying you can’t, and either do it or admit your refusal to even try.
It is not where you start, but where you end up that determines who you will become. Stop hurting the Lord by questioning His ability to forgive your past, and just follow Him.
“Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons” (Mark 16:9).
He loves you by His qualifications, not yours.
You cannot create your destiny, but merely step into it. Never accept in yourself a life less than all that God has intended for you to be. All you must do is stop trying and start yielding that Christ would reign in you.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
Your destiny is prepared, now walk in it.
I wrote this in a recent letter to a friend: “I don’t know all the theology around things, but I know the Lord who is over all things. When I read His word, I simply believe. I am not smart enough to argue myself into a faith that has no power, so I just walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The Lord Jesus said, “…Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 19:14).
A child does not debate what his father says, but simply believes. Be the believer you were meant to be.
You were meant for something more. That means you need to put the something less behind you.
The greatest change in your life is nothing new that God would do in you, but that you would see all He has been doing all along. Revelation is not just what will be, but what already is.
Lord Jesus, Your desire is not that I would be more, but that You would be more in me. To be filled I must first be emptied. To live truth I must first let go of the lies.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
The secret to being more is to become less – that more of Christ would reign in you.
Let the Lord have His way with you, and your life will never be the same again. He can change you, the only question is will you let Him? Let Him. Take the first step. Get down onto your knees and pray that the Lord Jesus would reign in your heart starting today.
Blessings to you,
Paul
