There are two forces at work in your life: the Lord who wants to help you and the Devil who wants to destroy you. The Lord will give you power to help you. The Devil will give you fear to destroy you. The state that you are in reveals which one you are looking to right now.
You know that something is from God when it is of God. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV).
You are in bondage to whatever you fear losing. “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’” (Romans 8:15 NKJV).
When we have problems in our lives that can be solved by the means of this world, we turn to the world. But when our problems seem impossible, that is when we turn to the Lord. It is no wonder God allows tribulations in our lives, as it is there we seek Him the most.
Don’t worry as if God cannot help you. “Nothing is impossible for God!” (Luke 1:37 CEV).
If you want to know where you lack faith, it is the thing you think is impossible that God could ever do. “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible’” (Mark 10:27 NKJV).
You were meant to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. You were meant to be filled with the fullness of God. You were meant to walk with courage and confidence in all that the Lord can do through you. You were not meant to prevail on your own power, but with His.
When you are filled by the Holy Spirit, you are no longer just a man or a woman. Micah the prophet said, “But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord…” (Micah 3:8 NKJV).
If the Holy Spirit has come upon you then the power of God is in you. The Lord Jesus said, “…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” (Acts 1:8 NKJV).
You were meant to have power over the enemy. You were meant to have power over all sicknesses. You were meant to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit with the authority to cast out demons and the sickness they cause. Jesus gave you authority, and now it is up to you to walk in it.
Jesus intends for us to have a faith that takes hold of His power. “Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases” (Luke 9:1).
Jesus never tells us to do something we could never do. Jesus said, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8 NKJV).
The greater the problem before us, the more faith it takes to overcome it. We see mountains so high we think we could never climb them, and so we do not even take that first step. Child of God, it is by the power of the Holy Spirit you can climb that mountain, but you must get up and take that first step.
In the kingdom, the harder you work, the less that gets done. “It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies” (Zechariah 4:6 NLT).
Let the Holy Spirit have His way with you, and your life will never be the same. “…that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13 NKJV).
Pray a hedge of protection from the Holy Spirit around your home and your family. Anoint your homes and your family. Be the spiritual leader that God is calling you to be. Be filled with the Spirit of power and declare health over those around you. Be who God has ordained for you to be.
When our faith rises, so does our reliance upon His power. “for the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory” (Deuteronomy 20:4 ESV).
You can’t even dream to the limit of what God can do. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
Never doubt what God can do and trust Him with His timing. “Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You” (Jeremiah 32:17).
If you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit, all you have to do is ask your Father in heaven. You were meant to be filled with the Holy Spirit. You were meant to have power by the Holy Spirit. Stop trying to do this on your own, just fall to your knees and pray that God would fill you.
Jesus taught us, “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13 ESV).
Blessings to you,
Paul Balius
Very Timely My Friend. Words of encouragement that we know, but need to be reminded. We all as Gods children, need to pray protection over our Loved ones. All the time. Especially at this time. Thank you Paul. God Bless you and your family.
Thank you so much. I love this verse: Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works”. I think we all help each other so much as we speak the word and share our faith with one another. Blessings to you!
Thank you for your messages of Hope during these uncertain times!
You are very welcome Lori. It is such a privilege to have Christ in our troubles.
When I cried out to God he secured me and affirmed me. I feel unloved with God and prayed and communicated with him every morning for hours missing breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. I didn’t consider it fasting cause I praised and worship from morning to night and I was so immersed with God, that food was not in my thoughts. I didn’t realize how broken physically I was, it took one year of surrender crying out to God when he anointed me with his Holy Spirit. I long for it for so long that I hadn’t realize that I already had it in me, I just had not spoken in tongues. I knew it was his spirit cause I would cry and worship God I’m prone positively of surrender and didn’t want to get up from that position. Every time I attended praise and worship and they laid hands on me I would be slain in the spiritual and God was working in side of me. My whole life had been trans formed I knew God had change my Life. When I God gave me my heavenly language it happened after leaving service one after noon on the way with my sister going home. In The middle of traffic it happen and we had to pull over. I‘be read about the Holy Spirit until I understood his printing any my life has never been the same. He wake up with him and go to bed with him. He is with me every where I ago. He is a must in my daily Christian walk and I cannot live without him. Thank you Lord for all that you have done in my life I cannot make it without you my life is yours. He sets a fire in my soul that I cannot explain but want more and more until immersed.Thank you Paul for your post that have blessed me and keep the fuel going and thank God always!
What a glorious blessing your post is for me to ready! So inspiring how God works in each of us in His own way, and how much He longs for us to have that greater filling of the Holy Spirit! I pray that your testimony and your life would inspire and encourage many to come into this same deeper walk of faith like you have! Blessings to you!
AMEN, AMEN, and AMEN!!! What a powerful Word Paul!
For God has given us ALL authority! (LUKE 10:19) The world cannot strip us of our authority but we must not hand it over.
We need the power of God to do the works that Jesus did (John 14:12). There is so much that can be done when we are filled with the Holy Spirit. Glory be to God.
Dunamis power!
Thank you so much, Anna. I have found it interesting in my own faith journey, that you can have peaks and valleys in terms of being filled with the Holy Spirit. And when I find myself in the valley, I remember the peak, and long to return there! Blessings to you my sister!
