He Has You

If you won’t pray for something a thousand times, I have to question how much you really want it. Jesus taught us, “Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you…For everyone who keeps on asking receives” (Matthew 7:7-8 AMP).

Child of God, keep on asking God. Don’t give up on Him because He will surely never give up on you. Don’t translate an answer of “not yet” to mean “not ever.” Until God clearly gives you a “no,” keep on asking for a “yes.”

The answering is relative to the asking. Keep asking. “So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer” (Ezra 8:23 NLT).

Precious, timid Christian, get bold! Take your request into the throne room and hold it up for your Father to see and ask Him to help you. Stop thinking you don’t deserve His help, because answered prayers are based on His mercy and not on what we deserve.

God helps those who ask for His help. “So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord… Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel …and he said… ‘Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s’” (2 Chronicles 20:4,14-15 NKJV).

Beloved of God, be a beggar and get down on your knees and beg Him to hear all the things you are asking Him for. Don’t let your pride stand as a barrier between what you need and what He can do for you. Nothing is too hard for God.

You can’t blame God for not answering a request that you never made to Him. “…You do not have because you do not ask God” (James 4:2 NIV).

All you who are worn out from asking, keep going! Don’t fight through to get your prayers answered, only to give up one prayer before the answer. Your faith may be weak, but so long as you have even a little bit of faith, it can move mountains.

Not even the mountains can say no to a man or a woman who has faith. Jesus taught us, “For assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20 NKJV).

Oh, ye of little faith, ask for more faith! You won’t build up your faith in your own efforts but with your willingness to admit how little faith you really have. We all need more faith, so ask for it. God’s reservoir of faith in heaven can fill us all to overflowing.

It’s more important that you believe God can help you than you keep asking Him in your unbelief. “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’” (Mark 9:23-24 NKJV).

Can you believe He can do what you need? Some of you don’t ask because you don’t believe He can do what you need Him to. Your unbelief hinders the flow of power from heaven, and until you are willing to believe, He will be waiting until you do.

God is better at answering than we are at asking. “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith” (Matthew 21:22 ESV).

If you’re thinking you’re asking amiss, perhaps you are, so ask Him to show you that. But just because He does not answer right away does not mean you are asking amiss. Keep on asking, and if you’re amiss, be sure that He won’t make a mistake.

Let your refusal to give up be the hallmark of your prayer life. “One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up” (Luke 18:1 NLT).

Child of God, make it your passion to keep on asking. The more faith you have, the more you will keep asking. The more you trust God, the more you will entrust your problems to Him. The more you know He can do anything, the more you will pray for everything.

You need to pray about things instead of agonizing over them. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything…” (Philippians 4:6 TLB).

Be careful that you do not allow sin to rule in your life such that God will stop listening to your prayers. Confess first and then pray, for your unconfessed sin stands as a barrier between you and God. He will forgive what you confess.

There is no sin so small that it doesn’t matter, nor so big that it can’t be forgiven. “It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore” (Isaiah 59:2 NLT).

Precious believer, I don’t know what desperate prayers you need to make, but I’m encouraging you to pray them and to keep on praying them. Our Father in heaven is a good God and a powerful God, and I have all the faith in the world that He can help you.

We must remember that when we pray to God, there is nothing we ask for that He cannot do. Jesus prayed, “…Abba, Father, all things are possible for You…” (Mark 14:36 NKJV).
