Change yourself as much as you can, and it will still be nothing compared to what the Holy Spirit can do with you. The improvements by the programs of man may move you an inch or two, but the Holy Spirit can move you a million miles.
It’s one thing to have the Holy Spirit inside of you, but something quite different to be surrendered to Him so that He would reign in you. “The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them” (Romans 8:14 ERV).
We get stuck on the mouse wheel of the self-help processes peddled by the world and even by some churches. We have spent our whole lives improving our ability to be better in the world, but being what God wants you to be takes the power of the Holy Spirit.
Salvation comes just as you are, and then sanctification will begin to change you. “He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit” (Titus 3:4-6 NLT).
Too often, we set our spiritual goals just like we have set our natural goals, which are to be within reach of what we can do with our own power. But to reach the height of spiritual maturity that God wants you to have will require His supernatural help.
You cannot grow in your faith and remain as you are. “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit” (2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV).
The Holy Spirit wasn’t sent here to make you a little better version of who you were before but to radically change you into something completely new. The Holy Spirit doesn’t need your help, but He will wait until you give Him permission to change you.
It takes the God who created you to change you. “I will put my Spirit inside you and change you so that you will obey my laws. You will carefully obey my commands.” (Ezekiel 36:27 ERV).
If you want to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit, you first must be emptied of yourself. For the Holy Spirit to have the right of way in you requires that you first give up the right to yourself. The Holy Spirit will have you when you no longer do.
Could you imagine living the life God has intended for you? “…understand what the Lord wants you to do…be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:17-18 NLT).
The fork in the road of your journey with God is this: Will you have it your way, or will you let Him have His way? More often than not, people choose the wrong path and not the right one. This isn’t a question of getting to heaven later but whether you will get more of heaven in you right now.
To the degree you go it alone, you’re on your own. “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty—you will succeed because of my Spirit” (Zechariah 4:6 TLB).
The Holy Spirit can change you a little or change you a lot, and the degree of change only depends on how willing you are. In God’s kingdom, the spiritual resources are endless, so don’t ever be satisfied with only a small portion of all that God has for you.
The Holy Spirit will change you as much as you’re willing to let Him. “Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes” (Romans 12:2 TPT).
The programs of man will add more knowledge to your mind. The working of the Holy Spirit will turn worldly knowledge upside down, bring revelations of God’s life-changing truth, and then place these eternal truths deep within your spirit.
Programs of man can’t fix what only God can do. “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you” (Psalm 51:10-12 NLT).
Through your efforts, you can improve your attitude and be a little better each day. But, when the Holy Spirit takes hold of you, He can give you a whole new godly attitude that cannot be understood by the world because it persists even through difficult circumstances.
If you want to change your life, change your attitude. “For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too” (Romans 14:17-18 NLT).
God isn’t looking for people who will try harder but for people who will yield more. A Christian who is totally yielded to the Holy Spirit can accomplish more in one day than a thousand workers for God operating in their own power can in a lifetime.
If you’d yield a half inch to God, He will take you a mile. “In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:6 NIV).
Give your life to God, and His life will reign in you through His Spirit, who can help you. Don’t try to help yourself for yet another day as a Christian failure; rather, give your life to Him and let the Holy Spirit change you however you need to be changed.
Let today be the day that you let God change you. “…be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit…” (Romans 12:2 TPT).
Blessings to you always,

That was excellent! That was the Truth! I pray people read the Bible or listen to it and be transformed by the Holy Spirit as I am being✝️❤️
That is a wonderful prayer that we should all pray, for people to read the Word, then be transformed by the Word, to be filled with the Holy Spirit!
