There is a faith we are meant to have, and we can reach it if we really want to. Such a faith is not dependent on the strength of a man or a woman, but on the power of God. This power is there for you when once you’re ready to receive it.
It takes God’s power to get you in His will and His power to keep you there. “Yes, it is God who is working in you. He helps you want to do what pleases him, and he gives you the power to do it.” (Philippians 2:13 ERV).
We must realize we are weak and then be honest about who we submit to in our weakness. When we submit to the world, our flesh will rule, and the Spirit of God is not given any room in which to operate. But when we submit to God, the world will lose, and our faith will be ever-increasing.
Whatever you submit to rules you. “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?” (Romans 6:16 NKJV).
Being sold out to Christ is having nothing left from which you can sell to the world. The price you pay to belong to Christ is the right to yourself. When once you give up this right, it will be there you will receive the true value of who you were meant to be.
When Christ is enough, you’ll have more than you need. “Nothing is as wonderful as knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have given up everything else and count it all as garbage. All I want is Christ” (Philippians 3:8 CEV).
When you truly give your life to Jesus, then He puts His life in you. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ come alive in the vessel of your body. There will be a newness of life because there will be a change in who reigns inside you. Christ in you is the result of you given over to Christ.
Don’t be the best version of yourself but the best version of Christ in you. “Test yourselves and find out if you really are true to your faith. If you pass the test, you will discover that Christ is living in you. But if Christ isn’t living in you, you have failed” (2 Corinthians 13:5 CEV).
Being sold out to Christ is not hard to do by the standards of physical strength. But it is the hardest thing we must ever do because it requires a change in the core of our being. We must make that exchange once and for all, this eternal blessing to give all of us for all of Him.
If you give yourself to God, then God will give Himself to you. “So give yourselves completely to God. Stand against the devil, and the devil will run from you. Come near to God, and God will come near to you. You sinners, clean sin out of your lives. You who are trying to follow God and the world at the same time, make your thinking pure” (James 4:7-8 NCV).
There is a potential in your faith life that you can reach. This potential is not limited by your strength or your intellect, but only by your refusal to let God help you. The Father sent the Holy Spirit to help you, and all you must do is let Him. You are the limit of yourself.
Never squander the potential of Christ in you. The problem is never that you are not strong enough, but that you are not weak enough. Natural strength is the hindrance to spiritual power. The Lord told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV).
You will progress in your faith when you really want to. This progression is not an increasing level of effort on your part but rather a progression of humility and surrender to God. The secret to growing in Christ is shrinking to yourself.
The greater your surrender to Christ, the greater His victory will be in you. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…” (Galatians 2:20 NKJV).
When a man or a woman is ready to go all out for God, it will be there that the Holy Spirit will go all out for them. They may go unnoticed by the people around them, but their names will be known in heaven. When once this line is crossed, nobody ever wants to go back.
The Holy Spirit will change you as much as you’re willing to let Him. “… be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes” (Romans 12:2 TPT).
Our Father has every day of your life planned out. The Lord Jesus has already made you right with God. The Holy Spirit is waiting in the wings to pour into you everything you need to reach the potential of all that God has for you. All you need to do is ask.
Be all that God can help you to be. God promised, “And I will give you a new heart—I will give you new and right desires—and put a new spirit within you. I will take out your stony hearts of sin and give you new hearts of love. And I will put my Spirit within you so that you will obey my laws and do whatever I command” (Ezekiel 36:26-27 TLB).
Blessings to you,
