Several years ago, I was starting my new online ministry and needed a name for it. I was praying that God would give me the name to use. That is when I heard Him, and He reminded me of a phrase I had heard before, “He has you.” That is where this ministry began, where He had me. And child of God, He has you.
In whatever you are going through, He has you. “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NKJV).
When you look back on your life, you would have never written the script with all that you went through. But you had to go through things to get you to where you are now. He had you then. He has you now. He will always have you. “…you saw me before I was born. The days allotted to me had all been recorded in your book, before any of them ever began” (Psalm 139:16 NKJV).
We all struggle in our lives. We have different circumstances but a common fear of being on our own. We see the mountains that tower before us and can lose hope that we cannot overcome them. But when we realize and know deep in our hearts that He has us, it is there the hope of heaven fills us.
It is easy to say “God is good” when things are good, but what do you say in the bad times? God is always good, in the good times and the bad. And it is only in the worst of times that we can learn to trust in His goodness the most. “I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2 NASB).
The Lord has you for all of eternity, so why do you worry about a couple of days or a handful of years? He has you. “The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore” (Psalm 121:8 NKJV).
I have found that the greater the need is, the more satisfying the provision. When we thirst more, we will rejoice more when we can finally drink. The same is true with our helplessness, the more helpless we are, the more we rejoice in His help.
We have to let go of the world, that the Lord Jesus would take hold of us. And once He has you, He will never let go. Our Lord Jesus taught, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.” (John 10:28).
Don’t focus on your problems, but the Lord who is helping you through them. “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV).
It hurts me to see people so afraid and filled with despair as they face the things in this world without the assurance of God being with them. The harder the times, the greater the need that He would protect us. Child of God, He has you.
People will fail you. Plans will unfold. Circumstances will change. The world will crumble. But He has you. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. That is why we are not afraid even when the earth quakes or the mountains topple into the depths of the sea.” (Psalm 46:1-2 GW).
It is far easier to trust God when you don’t have to. God allows difficult circumstances that stretch our faith. This is a truth that wrecks the devilish doctrine of the gospel of health, wealth and prosperity. This is truth: you will suffer, but praise God in your suffering, because He has you. “Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isaiah 46:4 NKJV).
The best way we can share the hope of heaven is to live a life that proves it. Consider in the midst of whatever tragedy you are going through, that God can use you to bring hope to those around you. Our greatest message of hope is in sharing how the Lord has helped us.
Be confident in the Lord, knowing that He is with you. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV).
No matter how bad things look around you, just remember that He has you. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me” (Psalm 23:4 NKJV).
Child of God, He has you.

Paul thanks so much for this encouraging message in times like this i had lot of fear about this COVID 19 but not until i closed myself in the room and i prayed and during that time i remembered how God has protected me how we had no food for almost 3 years but God fed us and kept us alive, how after the death of my dad i knew the world had ended but He took my hand, how He healed me when i was infected with TB, He Has me really and am so grateful that He has given me a spiritual dad like you Paul i always wait for your posts they have been a blessing to me they have guided me where am going wrong and always remember you and praying for you God to protect you and your family in this pandemic , God has been with us in Uganda we have so far 54 cases and 4 have been discharged but that has been possible because of God. stay safe Paul may God be with you and your family
