He Has You

God made us all different. There is not one way to be a Christian, but One Christ by whom we are saved. We have the Word of God as our foundation, but a unique set of legs by which we will stand on it. We are led by the same Holy Spirit, but we are called individually to our own unique purpose.

Child of God, don’t try to fit in, but let yourself stand out. Let your life be the unique fingerprint that touches heaven like none other.

Being Christian is never fitting into a mold, but in being transformed to become the soul that God has intended for you to become. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).

You are a unique design with a unique purpose. Don’t copy the calling of another, and just listen for your own. “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all” (1 Corinthians 12:4-6).

We are unique in design, but we need help to get started down the right path and then stay on it. We all need to seek out mature believers that can help us. When we submit to others it reflects our submission to God. The mature saints are those walking in humility with God. Nobody grows near to God and remains proud. Learn from mature believers that someday you might be that blessing for another.

When we grow in faith, we realize how small we really are. “When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers – the moon and the stars you set in place – what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?” (Psalm 8:3-4 New Living Translation).

Live a life worth imitating. The Apostle Paul wrote, “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1).

Being Christian is being transformed by the life of Christ within you. It is not something you can do of yourself. Being Christian is not to be only a label, but a transformation from the inside out. The mark of the Christian life should be the life of Christ reigning in you. We have the same light inside us, we are just different lamps from which Christ will shine from.

There is no such thing as a self-made saint. “…We are being transfigured into His very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another…” (2 Corinthians 3:18 The Passion Translation).

You won’t get the higher faith until you won’t settle for anything less. We have too many settled Christians. “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me” (Philippians 3:12).

God wants to take you higher than you have imagined you could ever go. Child of God, being Christian is nothing less than having Christ in you. Being Christian is a living faith in which the power of Christ works through you. Don’t only seek the baptism of water, but of the Spirit and the fire that will change you.

We have many wet Christians, but few that walk in fire. “John answered, saying to all, ‘I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire'” (Luke 3:16).

Begin on good ground, then go for high ground. “But you are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, and now He claims you as His very own. He did this so that you would broadcast His glorious wonders throughout the world” (1 Peter 2:9 The Passion Translation).
