The Prayer Room of the Christ

There are times when I close my eyes and I will step into a vision. Often it is a place I have never seen or images that I cannot make sense of what they mean. This is not something I flow in often, but it is so precious when the Holy Spirit would pull back the curtains and allow me to see something from the Father.

“It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions” (Joel 2:28 NASB).

It is by the prayers of Christ that you can have heaven opened up before you. “…while He prayed, the heaven was opened” (Luke 3:21).

One time I was at a prayer meeting sitting on the floor alone and then I felt a deep presence of the Holy Spirit. I closed my eyes and in a moment was standing in a place deep in the heart of heaven. I don’t know how I knew that I was in heaven, I just knew.

You will not have heavenly visions with your eyes fixed on earth. The Apostle Paul said, “…I have not been disobedient to what was revealed to me from heaven.” (Acts 26:19 TPT).

Do not let your natural view block the heavenly vision.

I was in a room, but it was a room so large you could not see the edge of where the walls were, nor see the height of where the roof was. There was a stone floor, like what you might find in an old castle. There was a stone wall, and on the other side of the wall a great expanse, so great you could not see to the end of it.

God speaks in dreams and visions such that the natural man would get out of the way. “For God speaks once, and even twice, yet no one notices it [including you…]. In a dream, a vision of the night [one may hear God’s voice], when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction” (Job 33:14-16 AMP).

High above was a bluish-purple haze, it was like looking up into the night sky, and the colors were so deep and rich and displayed the majesty of where I was. From higher than I could see hung a long veil, like a wavy curtain, but thicker such that it did not move. The veil was a deep purple color and was from the edge of the wall extending out a long ways across the stone floor.

Never ignore what the Lord is trying to show you. “One night, the Lord spoke to Paul in a supernatural vision…” (Acts 18:9 TPT).

Faith is not by sight but by vision.

I could not see behind the veil, and so I moved forward to get around it. I came to the veil and stepped past it, and it was there that I saw Him. I saw the Lord Jesus kneeling in prayer. It was then that I realized I was in the Prayer Room of the Christ.

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus…” (Hebrews 6:19-20). When you anchor your soul into Christ who is in heaven, there is no storm on earth that can move you.

That is all I remember from this short vision, but this gave me such a deep sense of being covered in prayer by the Lord Jesus Himself. How much our lives would be different if we truly grasped that the Lord Jesus was interceding for us from heaven. It is through prayer that the Lord Jesus reaches out to us, and it is through prayer that we will meet Him.

The Lord Jesus promised us, even to this day, “I do not pray for these alone [the disciples], but also for those who will believe in Me…” (John 17:20).

Jesus told this to Peter, and I am confident He prays the same for you and I, “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail…” (Luke 22:32).

When you pray to Jesus, He is at the same time praying for you. The Lord Jesus promised us, “…I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours” (John 17:9).

When you always have Jesus praying for you, what in the world are you worrying so much about?  “Therefore He [Jesus] is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through Him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.” (Hebrews 7:25).

People think intercession is the lowliest ministry on earth, but for Jesus it is the highest ministry of heaven. Intercessors kneel alongside the Lord Jesus Himself as they pray selflessly for those around them.

Blessings to you,

Paul

    1. Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for your kind words. And what a great thing for you to desire and pursue having a deeper walk with Christ, a closer relationship to the Father. I want this too! I want to every day be seeking Him more in everything I do!

  7. Hi Paul, Thank you for this encouragement! I was amazed to read your description of your vision of the dark wavy curtain! I had a similiar vision of that dark wavy curtain and describe it in my book, God’s Page by Susie Jansen. The e book version is .99 on Amazon if you just want to read chapter 8 called The Curtain! Thank you for sharing! I needed tbis reminder today!

    1. Hi Susie, thank you for your encouragement! I cannot wait to read about your vision. I think that the Lord arranges confirmations such that we can gain the assurance in what we have seen. Two witnesses confirm a truth. I still remember the night I gained this vision and often when I am in a place like this tears will stream down my face. Blessed tears!

      1. Hi Paul, Thank you! I hope you enjoy reading it! God never ceases to amaze me!

      2. Thanks Susie, I already read chapter 8, that was great! I want to write you more on this later, maybe we can connect through chat.
