He Has You

We are called to be lights in the darkness. A light never shines on itself.

Christianity is man’s ways turned upside down. To become more, you must become less. To become higher, you must become lower.

There is nothing greater that will hinder the growth in your faith or the power in your ministry more than pride. “Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18).

Humility is the secret to power, because it is in the humility of a saint that the power of God will flow. “…be clothed with humility, for ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’” (1 Peter 5:5).

Pride goes before the fall, and humility before the exaltation. The ending reveals much.

The Lord Jesus taught, “And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Matthew 23:12). You can either humble yourself, or the Lord will do it for you.

The humble and the proud: Pride looks at what is wrong in others. Humility looks at what is wrong in yourself. Your words towards others reveals which one rules in you.

I always know the greatness of a soul based on how little they tell me about their greatness. If you have to tell people, then the life you live is but a fraud in the Kingdom. Nothing will be hidden that is hidden.

The proud never stops talking. The humble never lost their voice being quiet.

Humility defeats humiliation: Nobody trips on their knees. Nobody can put you down if you already are.

You only fear being humbled if you are not already humble. Nobody can hurt your pride if you did not have pride to be hurt.

In humility, you cannot be humiliated.

You can only fall down as far as you have lifted yourself up. It is better to sit down than to be sat down. It is better to be called up than to be shut up.

God uses the humble: Get over yourself, and only then can the Lord use you.

It is only when you stop trying to impress men that you can please God. “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (James 4:10).

Only the humble can learn from the curriculum of God. “…the humble He teaches His way” (Psalm 25:9). Worry about you, God will deal with everyone else.

Only the humble can teach from the curriculum of God. “And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition…” (2 Timothy 2:24-25). Whatever you teach without humility towards others only reveals the pride in you.

There are two positions you must have to be a servant for God. First, you are not qualified. Second, agreeing with the first. By this standard everyone has the first, few have the second.

How you see yourself determines how much God can use you. There are two barriers to God using you: your opinion of yourself is too high, or you believe God’s opinion of you is too low. Both are wrong because both place you at the center.

God anoints the humble: In the Kingdom economy, the lower you place yourself, the higher you will be exalted.

The higher your faith, the more bowed down you must be. Humility is not a suggestion, but a requirement. To serve, “…speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men” (Titus 3:2).

If you want to walk in the anointed life, be prepared to let go of the life you lived before. To walk in the higher life means you must let go of the lower things.

You cannot be under the anointing so long as you refuse to kneel down. Humility is the secret to spiritual exaltation. It is only those willing to be nothing that can be filled with His something more. “For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself” (Galatians 6:3).
