The Higher Faith

There is a faith higher than the faith you have right now. This faith is stored up in heaven and can be poured down into your life. God has a purpose and a plan for your life, and it will take you walking in a higher faith that you could live out all that God has for you.

The reason so many do not walk in a higher faith is either because they think they are not able, or they think they already are. The first is easy to overcome; they need to simply surrender to Him who is able. The second is rarely overcome, as there is no defensive wall greater than that of self-deception. “For if anyone thinks he is something when he is really nothing, he is fooling himself” (Galatians 6:3 CJB).

Too often we settle for far less than we were meant to have. We reach the first step and think we can go no higher. We have climbed a lowly hill and think ourselves on a mountain. God wants to take you higher. It will not be your strength but by your weakness that God can raise you up.

You won’t get the higher faith until you won’t settle for anything less. We have too many settled Christians. “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me” (Philippians 3:12 NKJV).

You were meant for something higher. Your life has a greater purpose. Your faith is supposed to grow. Your faith can go higher. God has more for you than you can handle but will only give you what you are ready to receive. He is not waiting for you to be higher but to be lower.

If Christians would seek a higher faith as much as they do a higher position, they would be giants in the kingdom. From the Song of Mary, “God’s arm is strong. He scatters the people who are proud and think great things about themselves. God brings down rulers from their thrones, and he raises up the humble.” (Luke 1:51-52 ICB).

So long as you try to attain the higher faith, He cannot give it to you because it is a gift and cannot be taken as a prize. It is your pride that makes you think you can grow your own faith, and it is your pride that stands in the way of you receiving it.

If you want a higher faith you must have a lower opinion of yourself. Jesus taught, “Remember this: everyone with a lofty opinion of who he is and who seeks to raise himself up will be humbled before all. And everyone with a modest opinion of who he is and chooses to humble himself will be raised up before all.” (Luke 14:11 TPT).

When once you realize your faith grows by Him, and all you need do is let Him, then the journey will begin. Reaching a higher faith can never be done when trying to raise yourself above others. Kingdom principles turn earthly motives upside down and sends these ideas straight to hell.

The higher faith is not you exalted in the Church, but Christ exalted in you. “I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20 TLB).

The reason so few Christians reach a higher faith is not because they can’t but because they won’t. The excuse will be they can’t, but the truth will be they don’t really want to. You will never take hold of the things of heaven so long as you refuse to let go of the things in this world.

If you want to walk a higher faith, you have to let go of the lower things. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15 NKJV).

The higher faith is not found in a title or a degree, but in the simple trust like a child. Intellect will not get you closer to God; only a simple faith will. Religious titles will not get you closer to God; only a humble heart will. You cannot see a higher faith in a person, but those with a higher faith will see God.

Seek to be pure, not popular. Jesus taught, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8 NKJV).

Never stop reaching for something higher. Never stop believing for something more. The resources of heaven are infinite, and the power of God has no end. God can create such a faith in you that even your shadow could bring healing on people around you.

The same Holy Spirit that dwelt in Peter dwells in you. “…they even carried their sick out into the streets and put them on cots and sleeping pads, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on one of them [with healing power]” (Acts 5:15 AMP).

Blessings to you,
