Child of God, you were made for heaven. You are not of this world. You are meant to live forever. You are precious to God. Your heavenly Father loves you always. One day God is going to rescue you from this earth and bring you home to heaven. You will fall asleep one day here on earth, and the next day wake up in heaven. After this, forever and ever, you will be waking up in heaven.
You cannot be too bad to get into heaven, nor good enough to stay out of hell, but by Christ alone will you be saved. “Nor is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name [besides Jesus of Nazareth] under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
When you have your eyes on heaven, earthly things will lose their appeal. “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20).
Don’t focus on the troubles in this world, but on the promises born out of heaven. Jesus promised us, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home… When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am” (John 14:1-3 NLT).
It has been a grand privilege for me to know some mighty saints of God as they have stood at the doorstep of heaven. This is the last great lesson a saint can give to those who follow behind them, to show them the hope that they can have in heaven. We can be confident in the promises of God. As a Christian, even in our death we can preach a message of life, of eternal life.
If you believe in heaven, then you should never fear going there. We can live, “in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began” (Titus 1:2).
We wouldn’t fight over the table scraps on earth if we were focused on the feast we will have in heaven. “…The Lord of hosts will make for all people a feast of choice pieces, a feast of wines… He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces…” (Isaiah 25:6,8).
Don’t fear going to heaven, but reach out for those who are not. Jesus commissioned the Apostle Paul, “You will make them able to understand the truth. They will turn away from darkness to the light. They will turn away from the power of Satan, and they will turn to God. Then their sins can be forgiven…” (Acts 26:18).
The stronger we are in our faith, the more confidence we will have regarding heaven. Our confidence is the message we preach to a lost and dying world around us. The peace we have trumps the fears of man and will carry us into the loving arms of our Father in heaven. The most compelling argument we have to a world filled with anxiety is to have a heart filled with the hope of heaven.
The Lord has you for all of eternity, so why do you worry about a couple of days or a handful of years? He has you. “The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore” (Psalm 121:8).
We don’t have to fear death, but only trust in the promises of God. “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son” (1 John 5:11).
No matter how much it hurts now, there will be a day when there is no more pain. “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
So long as the Lord gives you breath here on earth, there is yet more He has for you to do. Whether you live 50 years or 150 years, the Lord can continue to use you as His vessel. Don’t worry about your last breath, but only in what He would do through you in the breath you are taking right now. Your ministry does not end here on earth until the Father says so.
Nobody gets old who will live forever. “…take hold of the eternal life to which you were called…” (1 Timothy 6:12).
You can never keep the temporary, and you will never lose the eternal. Jesus taught, “Don’t keep hoarding for yourselves earthly treasures… Instead, stockpile heavenly treasures for yourselves… For your heart will always pursue what you value as your treasure” (Matthew 6:19-21 TPT).
We will all someday take our last breath here on earth. We are most blessed if we are among the saved of Christ, who will then wake up in heaven and take our first breath of heaven. No matter where you are in the earthly life, whether you have a few miles yet to go, or are standing at the doorstep of heaven, never fear what the Lord has before you. Your heavenly Father is faithful, and His Son Jesus has paved the way before you. You will someday be waking up in heaven.

Just makes me get goose bumps!! I tried to imagine the other day as I looked at a beautiful sunrise what the skies will look like when the Lord returns!! Paul, we will live with God!!! He don’t give us all the details I believe because everybody would just wanna check out ASAP!! But in his Love he gave us a great Hope, it just makes me smile and smile!!!
Rita, I think you have it spot on, that if we really knew how great heaven was then we could not stand to stay here on earth any longer. What a wondrous eternity we have in front of us!

Praying for you, that the Lord will show you the way in which you should go.
God has made everything beautiful in its time. Aldo He has put eternity in their hearts except no one can find out the works that God does from beginning to end. God wrote his instructions on how to live this life on earth. His manual {the Bible) teaches us how to rightly divide his word. His promises are trustworthy and true with many examples through His parables. We are instructed to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in us both to will and to do for his good pleasure.
The anticipation of what heaven will be like allows my imagination to explore the RSVP invitation to the feast celebration, describe in the book of Revelation. Jesus talked about the many mansions and he was going to prepare a place for us.
AS representatives of Christ we are to encourage and witness to unbelievers about the good news of the gospel of Christ. He died, God raised Him from the dead, He ascended to heaven in a cloud and he is coming back for His church (His bride).
We are most blessed that God has put eternity in us that we would have the hope around us of all that eternity will be. What a grand design God has, that we would live a life here on earth that would prepare us for all of eternity.
Please pray for my son David. He has depression and he is anxious. His son, my grandson was murdered 3 years ago at the age of 15 months old. Beat to death by his mother’s new boyfriend. Hayden is in heaven but my son feels like he’s in , well not heaven. David is 25 and very smart and says he won’t commit suicide bc he knows he will go to hell. In Jesus name I need prayers for him.

Hello Sarah, I have prayed for your son David, what a great tragedy he has been through, and you as well. I pray for him to have a growing relationship with the Lord Jesus such that healing can begin and his depression can be replaced with hope. I know that nothing is impossible with God, and that is the power that I am praying into. I pray too that others would see this post and also pray for you and your son.
