An Invitation to Heaven

You are invited to heaven. If you have not accepted this invitation before, I pray you would read below and consider what it says in your heart. If you know that you will go to heaven, then I pray you would consider sharing these words or your own to somebody you know.

Your life has meaning. Your heart beats for a reason. Your breath has a purpose. King Solomon wrote about God that, “…He has put eternity in their hearts…” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). You have the stamp of forever written upon your heart. You are meant to live for all of eternity.

Yet the reality of life on earth is that we suffer much and eventually we all die. There is so much pain and suffering that nobody can escape it. I am sure that you have suffered deeply in your life. Yet God has something better.

There is a perfect place where you are meant to live forever. Where there is no more suffering. This place is heaven. It was written about heaven that “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain…” (Revelation 21:4).

In order that heaven will be a perfect place it must be free from all that is wrong. There can be no hint of anger or pride that causes one person to harm another. For heaven to be heaven, nothing even slightly wrong can be there. By this standard, nobody can make it to heaven. “As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one’” (Romans 3:10).

But God had a plan to solve this. God sent His own Son Jesus to live the perfect life that none of us can. Then God gave us credit for the perfect life that Jesus lived, and Jesus took the punishment of our sin upon Himself. “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the [payment] for our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Then Jesus the Christ puts His own perfect life into us, that we would have His perfect nature in heaven. “…it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…” (Galatians 2:20).

It does not matter how good you think you are; you are not good enough to get to heaven on your own. Jesus is plan A, and there is no plan B. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name [besides Jesus] under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

You can never be good enough for heaven apart from Jesus, and never too bad for heaven because of Jesus. “…having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved…” (Romans 5:9). You cannot earn your way to heaven because the only currency God will accept is the blood of His Son Jesus.

The foundation of our faith is not in how we feel towards God, but in how God feels towards us. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

The greatest revelation of God’s love for us was Jesus Christ, crucified. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

After Jesus was killed, they buried Him in a tomb, but death could not hold Him. God raised Jesus from the dead, and this is a prophetic truth of what God will someday do for you. Death has been conquered and everlasting life is here if you would only choose to receive it.

There is nothing you can do to save yourself, but only believe what God has done for you. “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).

You may have tried everything on earth to be satisfied and yet have always been left wanting. The world cannot quench your thirst, because it is your spirit that is thirsty. Try as you will, only Jesus can satisfy you. Jesus taught, “…he who believes in Me shall never thirst'” (John 6:35).

When you open your heart to Jesus, He steps into it. You don’t need another program, you need Jesus. “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son” (1 John 5:11).

You are invited to heaven. Won’t you accept the invitation today? Don’t wait, do it now. Tomorrow may never come. Jesus said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved…” (John 10:9).

If you are ready to accept this invitation, then simply pray to God and open your heart to Him that He will come into it. There is no secret prayer you must say, but just be real with Him and then He will be real to you. Take this one step today, and your life will never be the same.

You can start this journey by reading aloud the verses in this invitation and telling God that you believe His word and want to follow His Son Jesus. If you truly mean it, God will go to the ends of the universe to help you. Take hold of the life that Jesus is offering you.

Then get a Bible and read it, every day. The Bible is God’s love letter to His children. Start to pray, every day. Prayer is our lifeline to God. Get into a Bible-teaching Church. Church is where we can learn to grow in our faith. And know this, Jesus will never leave you when once you come to Him.

I hope to see you in heaven.

Blessings to you

    1. Thank you so much! It is such a joy when we can lovingly reach out to people and introduce them to Jesus. There are so many hurting and empty people in the world, and if we can but reach one, it will be worth a lifetime of effort.

  3. Just discovered your page this morning, truly, it has been a blessing. During my early morning mediative prayer time, the teaching was on training in godliness. This is what led me to search further about the teaching on godliness and was led to discover your page. Awesome!

    1. Thank you for your kind words! It is such a privilege that God allows me to write for the kingdom. I have been on a little break since 9-22-22 as had back surgery. Have had a rough few weeks so far and so took a break from writing until I am doing better. Can’t wait untilGod gives me the healing and then the filling to write again soon.
