A Faith that Heals

For several years I ministered in prisons and so many there would be sick as diseases traveled quickly in such confined areas. It was a challenge for me to stay healthy. I started praying for protection from diseases and rebuking them in Jesus’ Name if ever I started to feel sick.

For almost ten years I have been doing this and have only had one day with a mild cold in all that time. Sometimes when I tell people this, they tell me not to speak it or I might jinx it. Oh friends, you can never jinx Jesus, His power does not depend on the tricks of man.

Just this week I felt a sickness coming on me. It came on very fast and I left work an hour early to get some rest. On the way home I remembered that I had not prayed against whatever was attacking me. I started rebuking that disease in Jesus’ Name and by the time I was home I was well. Friends, there is power we can receive from Jesus when we have faith in what He can do.

Won’t you believe with me that Jesus is the cure and the antidote for the diseases we face on this earth? So long as I have breath in my lungs I will pray for His healing on my family, my friends, and myself. So long as another person remains alive that they can be healed, we should continue to pray for them

I know our Lord Jesus will always heal us, the only question is will He do it on earth or in heaven. Either way we will praise His name forever! Don’t ever think that going to heaven is the worst thing that can happen, because it is the best thing that can happen. But let us pray for good health so long as He keeps us here on this earth.

God cannot meet you at the point of impossibility unless you believe enough to go meet Him there. “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes'” (Mark 9:23).

Pray beyond the limits of you, and it will be there that you will find God.

We think a miracle will produce faith, but it is faith that produces miracles. Jesus told him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well” (Luke 17:19).

The problem with most believers is that they don’t believe.

If you only pray the possible you pray in the natural. It is in the Spirit that we will pray for Him to do the impossible. Before Jesus healed two blind men He said, “‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord'” (Matthew 9:28).

Never limit your faith to what you can do. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20).

Jesus intends for us to have a faith that takes hold of His power. “Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases” (Luke 9:1).

The more you believe, the more you receive, and it will cause you to believe even more. Jesus taught, “…whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).

If Jesus could heal remotely while He walked on this earth, be sure that He can still do it while sitting on His throne in heaven. A Roman soldier asked Jesus to heal his servant, and “Jesus said to him, ‘I will come and heal him.’ The centurion answered and said, ‘Lord…only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.’ Then Jesus said to the centurion, ‘Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.’ And his servant was healed that same hour” (Matthew 8:7,8,13).

Jesus brings His power to the table; it is your faith that is needed to pick it up. “Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your faith has made you well.’ And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road” (Mark 10:52).

Faith is the doorway through which the power of God will flow. “But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour” (Matthew 9:22).

It is not enough to pray for healing, but you must believe. The Lord Jesus said, “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22).

When the believer believes, the power of God can flow through them. “Then Jesus answered and said to her, ‘O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.’ And her daughter was healed from that very hour” (Matthew 15:28).

Impossible situations demand our God through whom everything is possible. Jesus taught us, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Luke 18:27).

Blessings to you,

Paul

  1. Christ paid for the whole of our salvation… It it through faith we can walk in what He has already given.

    1. This is so true Brian, that the reality of all Christ has already done is not something for us to hope will happen, but merely embrace as already having taken place. Blessings to you brother, Paul

  2. Awesome word! God bless you brother! I love,” Pray beyond the limits of you, and it will be there that you will find God.”
    Thank you Jesus!

    1. Thank you Margaret! Isn’t our God so grand, always taking us out of our natural limits, and placing us such that we could never imagine all that He might do through us!
