He Has You

I am most blessed to be the son of parents who are intercessors and believe in the power of God. In our family we pray much for each other and in so doing are blessed of God with all the answered prayers. We serve a mighty Lord Jesus!

This last week my father called and told me about yet another miracle in an answered prayer. It seems in my family that miracles are commonplace. If you can believe, nothing will seem impossible to you. “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes'” (Mark 9:23).

When you consider what you may leave to your friends or family, nothing has greater value than your faith in Christ. When your children and grandchildren see how much you believe, that is the legacy that you are leaving for them.

Your faith will never lose value but pour out even more on those around you. If you can believe, then others will see that and be inspired to believe as you do. Faith begets faith.

There is no limit to the power in Christ, but only in our capacity to believe Him. Just before Jesus raised Lazarus from death, He told Martha, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (John 11:40).

Belief is a doorway, the wider it is swung open, the greater the flow of the power of God.

The more believing, the more receiving, there is no other way. “Then Jesus said to the centurion, ‘Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.’ And his servant was healed that same hour” (Matthew 8:13).

To the degree that you can believe, things will become possible.

We can pray for any condition knowing Jesus can bring the cure. “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages…healing every sickness and every disease among the people” (Matthew 9:35).

Pray as big as God is.

We pray to the degree that we believe. Jesus promised, “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22).

Pray believing.

The proof of your faith is found in the confidence of your prayers. “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (1 John 5:14).

It’s not what you know, it’s what you believe.

If you need a miracle, then just pray for one. Peter told the beggar who was lame from birth, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6).

Faith is believing beyond yourself. Pray beyond possible, that the Lord would meet you there.

When finally you believe the Word, nothing will seem impossible to you. “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37).

You don’t believe because you set limits based on you. Get out of your way. Faith is the gate that sets the impossible free.

Don’t look at the waves, look at Jesus. “…when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out…” (Matthew 14:29-30).

Jesus can walk on water, feed the hungry, heal the sick, give sight to the blind and raise the dead. What makes you think your situation is too hard for Him?

We must keep our faith focused on the unseen, even when the seen is staring us right in the face. “…do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Everything you do apart from the power of God is limited by the natural power of man.

We must remember that when we pray to God, there is nothing we ask for that He cannot do. Jesus prayed, “…Abba, Father, all things are possible for You…” (Mark 14:36).

There is no limit to what God can do in your life, except the limits of what you would believe.

Dare to believe the words of Christ. “But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible'” (Matthew 19:26).

He often works from the realm of the impossible just so you cannot take the credit.
