The Holy Spirit Prophecy

I got saved later in life and soon after the Lord called me to serve Him. For years I was studying and growing in the things of the Lord. But one day everything changed, I experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit into my life like never before. This day changed my life forever.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, there is nothing else by which you can compare it to. It is the day your spiritual senses are awakened. From this day forward, nothing will ever be the same again. It is a day that I pray that all believers will have.

The prophetic promises of the Holy Spirit poured onto us were given many times throughout the ages. These prophecies came by the Father, the kings, the priests, the prophets and finally by the Son of God Himself in Christ Jesus.

It was always God’s plan to place His own Spirit in man, such that man could live a life not possible any other way. If you have not already been filled of the Holy Spirit, won’t you pray with me for this prophecy to be fulfilled in your life right now?

Moses prayed that we would all be filled of the Holy Spirit. “Then Moses said to him, ‘…Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!’” (Numbers 11:29).

King Solomon prophesied we would receive the Holy Spirit, “…Surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you” (Proverbs 1:23).

The Lord told the prophet Ezekiel He would put the Holy Spirit in us, “I will put My Spirit in you…” says the Lord.’” (Ezekiel 37:14).

The Lord told Isaiah the blessings coming for us with the Holy Spirit, “…I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring” (Isaiah 44:3).

The Father promised the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28).

John the Baptist prophesied to us about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, “…He [Jesus] will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Matthew 3:11).

Jesus promised that we would receive the Holy Spirit, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26).

We now live in the day in which the prophecy is fulfilled, and we can receive the Holy Spirit. “Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit” (Acts 8:17).

The Holy Spirit does not come by our effort but by our surrender. We cannot earn the Holy Spirit, but only humbly receive Him as a gift from the Father. “Then Peter said to them, ‘…you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).

God knew we could never make it on our own, and that is why His prophecies pointed to having His Spirit in us. That He could do in us what we could never do on our own.

God made you, be sure that He can change you. “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them” (Ezekiel 36:27).

If the Holy Spirit has come upon you then the power of God is in you. Jesus promised, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” (Acts 1:8).

Don’t just get filled once with the Holy Spirit, but keep getting filled. Our natural bodies leak, and our natural surroundings dry us up. Every day we must pray that the Father would pour out His Holy Spirit upon us. Jesus taught us, “…how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (Luke 11:13). If you want more, ask for more.

The greater the yielding to the Holy Spirit, the greater the filling of the Holy Spirit. God will pour out, but will you let Him fill you? “…understand what the will of the Lord is… be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:17-18).

Blessings to you,

Paul

  1. As usual, I get immeasurable comfort and learning from your words; words that have meaning and give direction to each week for me. Thank you.

  2. Hey Paul, this is something near and dear to my heart. It is something I have been preaching for over 40 years. His power can walk us through any storm and help us overcome the fear of the world. It’s the power to seek and save the lost. I have taught this same message from Sudan to Mexico, and have been blessed to see changed lives all over the world. And I especially thank God for the work the Spirit of God is doing through you. Keep writing and preaching my friend.

    1. Oh yes, this is the life we are supposed to have! This is the promise of the ages! Oh the life we can have if we would just dare to believe the Word! Hope you are doing good, i need to call you still. Thank you so much for your kind words and your encouragement. They are most treasured and most needed right now. You got another 40 years of preaching ahead of you and more countries that yet need to hear your message!
