He Has You

It is my greatest hope that believers would grow in their faith. That they would mature spiritually to the potential that God has ordained for them. That they would overcome the pride inherent with intellectualism and step into the humility of heavenly truths that have the power to change the world we live in. The great truth in spiritual growth is it does not depend on the abilities of the believer, only the willingness. Be willing.

I pray that you would prayerfully read below with an open mind about the patterns designed by God in heaven and reflected here on earth. These patterns are meant to be established within you. The Tabernacle of God in heaven was built under Moses here on earth, and within these patterns we can discover the plans of God.

This first part is the foundation for understanding one of these patterns: The Seven Spirits of the Lord. The next article will go deeper into two of these Spirits which are the Spirits of Wisdom and Revelation. The requirement for understanding spiritual truth is that we have a spiritual teacher. That Teacher is the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual revelation cannot be found through the wisdom of man. So long as you rely upon the flesh of man, the Spirit of God cannot teach you. “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches… But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:13-14).

Man is powerless by his own natural strength in the spiritual realm. We have too many natural men and women in our churches today.

It is the pride of man that says he must do the work. That is why the Lord cannot do a work through a proud man.

Revelation never changes the Word, but only reveals the truth in the Word.

With the Word there is light, and in the light there is revelation. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

The barrier to revelation is the saint who insists upon gaining it by themselves. You don’t gain spiritual revelation, it must be given to you.

Revelation is not just what will be, but a revealing of what already is.

The Revelation of the Lampstand

The Tabernacle was revealed to Moses in heaven and represents many hidden truths in God’s plans. This revelation in Exodus was given about 1,400 years before Christ. God told Moses, “And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it” (Exodus 25:8-10).

In the Tabernacle was the Holy of Holies. This was behind a thick Veil and it was where the Ark was kept. This Ark had the mercy seat of Christ set upon it. This was all based upon the pattern already present in heaven and shown to Moses by God.

Just outside the Holy of Holies there were two tables that sat on either side of the entrance. On one table was the Lampstand and it sat across from the other table with the Showbread. The Showbread represented the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ. The Lampstand represented the Holy Spirit, with the oil representing the consecrating power of the Holy Spirit, and the oil sustaining the flames that would shine the glory light upon the Showbread, the Body of Christ.

Nothing in Scripture is without meaning and purpose, if only we would see it. God instructed His humble servant Moses, “You shall also make a lampstand of pure gold… Its shaft, its branches…shall be of one piece. And six branches shall come out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side” (Exodus 25:31-32).

The seven-armed Lampstand represents the Seven Spirits of the Lord, having seven streams of the Holy Spirit, with seven being the number of perfection. The center and main stream of the Lampstand represents the Spirit of the Lord, the Holy Spirit presence and power of God. The other six streams coming off the sides were given in pairs, and they branch off the main stream. This represents the balanced perfection of the Holy Spirit poured out.

There are not seven different Spirits, but One Holy Spirit, with seven streams of outpouring. “You shall also make a lampstand of pure gold…[and it] shall be of one piece” (Exodus 25:31).

In Isaiah 11:2 we read the spiritual revelation of this Tabernacle Lampstand called the Menorah, the seven-armed oil Lampstand patterned from what Moses was shown in heaven. “The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord” (Isaiah 11:2).

Some 700 years after the Tabernacle was revealed to Moses, God gave the Prophet Isaiah a revelation on what the Lampstand represented. This was some 700 years before Christ would come to earth on His first mission.

Isaiah 11:2 was the prophetic word that the Holy Spirit would rest upon Jesus. Jesus would flow in the Seven Spirits of the Lord, the perfection of the Holy Spirit. And it is this same Holy Spirit that Jesus promised would be sent to us by the Father.

The Tabernacle and the Lampstand in heaven were patterns to reflect Gods plans from before time began. In the Throne room of heaven, the Seven Spirits of the Lord represent the fullness of the Holy Spirit. “And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God” (Revelation 4:5).

The Lampstand had the perfection represented in seven lamps of fire. The revelations of the Lampstand were given in two increments of 700 years before Christ came to earth, representing God’s perfect and unchangeable plans He has ordained from before time began. Where seven is perfect, seventy is perfection multiplied, and the seven-hundred is perfection at the limit of God.

Jesus would someday walk into this Holy of Holies in heaven and sprinkle His own perfect sinless blood upon the mercy seat. “For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us” (Hebrews 9:24).

As our High Priest, Jesus gave the perfect and final sacrifice necessary to pay for your sins and mine. The priests of Israel had to do this atonement yearly on the Day of Atonement. But the work of Christ is forever complete. “not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another—…but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself” (Hebrews 9:25-26).

And enthroned in heaven as the slain Lamb, His blood sprinkled upon the mercy seat atop the Ark, our sins forever atoned for, the Lord Jesus asked the Father to pour the Holy Spirit upon us. Jesus had promised earlier, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26).

As the Lampstand representing the Holy Spirit shone brightly upon the Showbread representing Christ in the Tabernacle, so the Holy Spirit can shine the light of the revelation of who Jesus is to you in this day.

Revelation does not come by the efforts of man, but by the power of God.

Knowledge of the world is attained. Knowledge of the Lord is received. The harder you try to learn only proves this truth. Prayerfully study submissively and He will pour into you abundantly.

Draw near to the Lampstand and be ready for your life to be changed forever.
