Heavenly Truths

You cannot take hold of heavenly truths with natural belief. The Lord Jesus taught, “If you people don’t believe me when I tell you about the things of the world, how will you believe me when I tell you about the things of heaven?” (John 3:12 CJB).

The deep truths of heaven cannot be found in the shallowness of this world.

Worldly knowledge is an empty cup in the heavenly realm.

Spiritual truth requires a Spiritual teacher, and that Teacher is only found in the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised us, But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…” (John 14:26 NKJV).

Spiritual truth evokes carnal retaliation. Never be surprised when the natural man attacks spiritual truths.

If the Spirit is in you, the fruit of truth will surely blossom through you. “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth” (Ephesians 5:9 KJV).

Truths and Lies

Truth is to lies what light is to darkness, in the end the truth will always triumph.

If you want to know the truth you must be able to discern the lie.

A false prophet always gives the people what they want to hear. “the prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. Worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes?” (Jeremiah 5:31 NLT).

People will tell you their way is easy. They only say that so you would follow them. But in the end, it won’t be easy. There is not an easy way, life is hard, faith requires perseverance, that is the truth.

Lies are easy because it adapts to what we want. We all want the easy button, but only the evil one has it, and it never delivers on its promises.

Truth is forever, but a lie will never last. “…the truth of the Lord endureth for ever…” (Psalm 117:2 KJV).

The great tragedy is that the deceived believe it is everyone else who is deceived. That is the mastery of deception, to call a truth a lie such that the lie becomes what you think is the truth.

God’s Word is the plumb line of truth, always test what you hear against the Word.

The truth may hurt, but a lie can kill you. If you want the soft message, then you must go outside the Word.

It is better to speak a truth and have no friends, than to speak a lie and be popular. Hell will be filled with popular people.

I would rather speak the truth and have no one listen, than tell a lie that I would be thought well of for a time. Popularity does not mean we are right. “We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God doesn’t listen to us. This is how we distinguish the Spirit of truth from the spirit of error” (1 John 4:6 CJB).

People will often defend a lie as if it is truth with greater fervor that they would seek to know what the truth is.

God’s Word is Truth

Holy Scripture is like a diamond, a singular truth, but with many intricate facets by which we can see it. In every truth there may be multiple views, but they are never contradicting and always complimenting.

If you are not standing on God’s Word, then you are on dangerous ground.

It is always the Devil that wants to keep the truth from you. Beware anyone that would teach you to exclude portions of God’s Word. “You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth” (Psalm 119:151 NKJV).

People seek the myths of man over the truths of God. Myths tell man what he wants to hear, whereas God’s truth gives man what he needs to hear.

We are afraid to offend somebody with the whole truth such that we tell half-truths, and even the pagans can see we are not genuine. If we are not the light, how will the darkness be changed?

If you change your message to attract more people, then you will not change the people with your message.

Never determine the words you would preach based on the approval of man, but on Christ alone. Now does that sound as if I were trying to win human approval? No! I want God’s approval! Or that I’m trying to cater to people? If I were still doing that, I would not be a servant of the Messiah” (Galatians 1:10 CJB).

Jesus speaks truth, and it only hurts the ones it needs to.

It is better to offend someone into heaven than to sweet talk them on their way to hell.

You cannot speak the light of truth and be popular in a darkened world. Let people be haters, but have Christ be your true love.

It is not always how many times you get invited back that proves you are speaking the truth of God, but sometimes in how many times you do not get invited back.

Blessings to you,

Paul
