Just as you cannot see God, you cannot see love. “…God is love” (1 John 4:8).
The Spirit of the Law is love because love flows from the Spirit of God.
Love is the Law of God manifested in your life. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5). “…you shall love your neighbor as yourself…” (Leviticus 19:18).
The secret to living right is loving right.
Whatever you do outside of love is outside the will of God.
The perfection of the Law in you is not your ability to debate it, but to live it.
The eternal plans of God are born out of God’s love for us. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16).
If Christ is love and Christ is in Christians, then why do Christians have so much hate in them? You must consecrate yourself to one thing before you can let go of the other.
The Bible says, “love others”, and we rip each other apart in how we interpret what the Bible is saying. “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Galatians 5:14).
We should never defend a doctrine of God with such fervor, that in the process we violate them all.
The Lord does not judge you by your knowledge of doctrine, but by how you live it.
What you do reveals whether Christ is in you.
Loving others is the Word through you. “Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law” (Romans 13:10).
It is not your ability to change others that determines your effectiveness as a Christian, but your willingness to love them just as they are.
Faith is simple, love God, love others. We don’t have to agree with each other to love each other. Jesus taught, “This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12).
Whoever God puts in your path, love them that they would see Christ in you.
Do not focus on what others do to you, but on what you do to others.
It is when you love others that you yourself will then be filled with love. Jesus said, “…whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them…” (Matthew 7:12).
It is in the giving where we receive.
The evidence of God’s love in us, is God’s love through us. “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” (1 John 4:8).
Jesus loves you, every other doctrine is but a footnote unto this truth.
There is no greater way to teach the love of Christ than to live out the love of Christ. “And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us…” (Ephesians 5:2).
Never think you win souls through arguments, but through love.
How you treat others reveals Christ in you or proves otherwise. Never seek to win an argument more than to love the one with whom you are arguing.
The world measures success by all that we have. The Lord measures success by how we treat others. “For the commandments…are all summed up in this saying, namely, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself'” (Romans 13:9).
Just because you can justify it in your mind, does not mean it would stand up in the courts of heaven. Stop trying to prove yourself right, and instead prove yourself loving.
To the degree Jesus fills your heart, His love will flow out from it.
The evidence of Christ within is the life lived out. Say what you will, but your actions reveal all. The Lord Jesus said, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).
People judge books by their cover, but God by the story within. You can never fake love for long because the source will soon run out.
The more you are filled with love, the more you are filled with God. “know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:19).
Your love for others reflects your love towards Jesus.

Amen!! I use 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 as my guide. If I’m not following that outline, then I’m not walking in Love…
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Those are such powerful verses! One of my mentors preached from those verses and everywhere that it said “love” he inserted the name “Jesus”. It opened my eyes to see that a love like Jesus is what we should aspire to. This love described in these verses is so much deeper and true than the love found in the world. This is heavenly love!

A lot of people confuse love with a feeling. Love is a commitment; it’s wanting the best for others; it’s a willingness and a desire to help others. Until I realized that, I felt like a failure as a Christian because I didn’t have those “feelings” for every single person I interacted with. Once I understood that it is an act of love to help an elderly neighbour shovel their snow, to buy a sandwich for a homeless person, to offer assistance to those in need, without expecting something in return, I understood the commitment to others that God wants from us. And as I began doing more for others, the “feelings” soon followed. God is good.
Such a good word, my friend! How much we all need to learn this truth. I think loving some people is the hardest thing we will ever do. And I agree with you, that it cannot start with a feeling, especially when what we are feeling is so far in the other direction. It is interesting to me that the thing that stands in our way of loving others is always within ourselves. That God loved us when we were yet His enemies, that is the standard He is calling us up to. And I am convinced that in and of myself I am not capable of loving some people, but Christ in me, that is a whole other story. It is His nature that I need to reign in me. I agree with you 1000%, that God is good!

When we demonstrate Christian love, it distinguishes believers from the rest of the world. Jesus goes on to say, “By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35). Notice Jesus did not say that people will know that you are my disciples if you preach my word, wear Christian T-shirts or sing on the choir but rather if you love one another. Some people are hard to love but the measure of our maturity is our love for God and our love for others. If we fail in our love we have missed what it means to be a Christian.

You have such a good word here, how much I want believers to walk in what you have written here. I think this idea of loving others is so critical to our faith, that it must be raised up in our lives as something to strive for in everything we do. And when we fail, we fail, then we strive more, by allowing His life to reign in us. I am convinced that the measure of Christ in us is the love that comes from us.
