Holy Spirit Revelations

You don’t gain faith through revelation, but revelation through faith.

The greatest barrier to the revelation of truth is the lie that you firmly hold onto.

By His power: His power is not dependent on yours, but yours on His.

You cannot struggle and hear in the Spirit, because it is not a natural effort.

You can’t do in the natural what can only be done in the spiritual. You do not hear in the spiritual because you only listen in the natural.

It is not by our effort but by His that we can hear the Holy Spirit. The Lord God told Jeremiah, “…I will cause you to hear My words.” (Jeremiah 18:2).

Spiritual senses are never attained, only received. It is never a matter of trying harder, but yielding more.

The spiritually dead can never hear spiritually. See to it they are first born in the Spirit, then you can teach them.

You will never get closer to God walking on natural paths. You cannot learn spiritual truths by natural study methods.

You cannot climb spiritual mountains, only be lifted to them. The harder you try, the prouder you are.

To gain worldly wisdom requires much effort. To gain heavenly wisdom requires much submission. Knowledge of the world is attained. Knowledge of the Lord is received.

It is the pride of man that says he must do the work. That is why the Lord cannot do a work through a proud man. Pray this, “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know…” (Ephesians 1:17-18).

Listening Prayers: Try praying with your ears wide open.

God is not mute. The only ones who preach He cannot talk are the ones who do not hear Him. Don’t listen to people who don’t listen. The Lord Jesus said, “…the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things…” (John 14:26).

The goal of drawing near to God is not so He will hear you better, but that you will hear Him better.

You never have to pray for the Lord to speak to you, but only that you would have ears to hear Him.

Our problem with communicating is not that we don’t talk to Him, rather that we do not listen to Him. You cannot hear with your mouth wide open.

If you don’t believe the Lord will speak to you then you won’t listen. Or you don’t listen because you know what He would tell you.

It is never a question of if the Lord would speak to you, but would you hear Him. “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it…’” (Isaiah 30:21).

You need to have holy ears such that you can hear a Holy Spirit. Guard your ear gates to guard your mind.

God holds back until you are ready, “Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day” (Deuteronomy 29:4). So it is with hearing the Holy Spirit, He waits until we are ready, then He will “cause you to hear My words”(Jeremiah 18:2).

God is Spirit, His Word is Spirit, so we must listen in the Spirit. Quiet your mind that you would hear His voice.

Revelation: Revelation is not seeing something new, but in having something revealed that was there all along.

You don’t gain revelation, it must be given to you.

Revelation does not come by the efforts of man, but by the power of God. The Lord cannot reveal a new thing until you first have eyes from which you can see. Pray to the Lord, “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” (Psalm 119:18).

You cannot reach the depths of God using the natural tools of man. Knowledge comes through the efforts of man, but revelation only comes by the movement of God.

Spiritual revelation cannot be found through the wisdom of man. So long as you rely solely upon man, the Spirit of God cannot help you. “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches… But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:13-14).

You cannot preach revelation to those in darkness because they cannot see. Instead preach light, that they would step into it.

You won’t gain more revelation of truth until you start living the truth already revealed to you. If the truth doesn’t change you, then what is the point?

With the word there is light, and in the light, there is revelation. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

Revelation attracts the most critics, thus exposing them. Be led by the Holy Spirit, not critics.

The Church fears false prophets so much that they reject true prophets. Jesus said to test prophets, not reject them.

The Holy Spirit will not pour out revelation into closed minds.

Don’t reveal less so your teaching is safer, but reveal more that your teaching is more effective. Jesus never limited His teaching by what they would receive, and neither should you.

The more natural you put in your message, the less spiritual will remain.

The secret to revelation in God’s word is that it cannot be found by you, but only revealed to you.

Never search for revelation to teach, but to learn. Then only teach what you are willing to live. If you do not live the truth, then you would only be preaching from the platform of a lie.

Revelation is not new truth, but a hidden truth revealed. Revelation is not just what will be, but what already is.

The more we fear Him, the more He will reveal. “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant” (Psalm 25:14).

Blessings to you,

Paul
