Moving Mountains

It is not in what you know, that Jesus is most interested in, but what you believe. Jesus said, “…when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).

Knowledge says mountains can be moved, faith does it. “So Jesus said to them, ‘…assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you’” (Matthew 17:20).

Jesus did not say that you must move mountains, but you could. He was setting the mark such that you would see nothing is impossible for those that would just believe.

The most effective saints do not do the most, but simply have faith in the One who can. The secret to moving mountains is having faith in the One that can.

We don’t need more smarter Christians, we need more believing Christians.

We call many believers, yet few really believe.

Start believing like a believer should.

Start praying like a believer can.

God is looking for full-time believers.

The hall of faith is filled by those who believed without knowing. How much more faith should we have with all that we now know!

How can read the words of Christ, and not believe?

You will lead more to believe the more you are a believer yourself.

Believe the Word. Too many people believe the Devil more than they believe the Word of God. Read the Word back at the Devil and pray the Lord to rebuke him.

You cannot take hold of the promises of God while firmly holding onto your doubts. If you do not believe His Word, then you don’t believe in Him. “…when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe” (1 Thessalonians 2:13). You have to believe to receive.

When you can stand on the Word of God, then you are able to reach into the resources of heaven. Your ministry is not limited by what you have, but what you believe.

The deep things of God are never found in the shallowness of man. Read the Word and let the Holy Spirit be your commentary.

You cannot take hold of heavenly truths so long as you only desire the knowledge of man. The Lord Jesus taught, “If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3:12).

Believe unto Power. Faith is the doorway through which the power of God will flow. It is not enough to pray for healing, but you must believe. The Lord Jesus said, “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive” (Matthew 21:22).

There is no limit to the power of God, but only in our ability to believe it. Every test against your faith is not if God can do, but will He find enough faith from which to do it through you.

Faith is not a switch, but a dial. You cannot turn it up by your power, only by His. “…Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24). The only way to believe more is to have less unbelief. Pray to believe more and to doubt less.

Believe the Impossible. You know you are praying to a God who can do the impossible when your prayers are impossible. To test your faith, you must pray higher than what you believe is possible.

God cannot meet you at the point of impossibility unless you believe enough to go meet Him there.

You must believe that the Lord will give you a word before He will give you a sentence. A large tree is always established with many small roots. Start believing small first, then your faith can grow.

The problem with most believers is that they don’t believe. “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes'” (Mark 9:23). To the degree that you believe, things will become possible.

We never have to exaggerate the limits of God, but only strive to believe to His limits.

We should never pretend to have a faith higher than we really do. If you want more faith, pray for it. He said He can do the impossible, so be the impossible.

A jar can only hold to the limit that it is. By this same principle, your faith determines the degree of power that God will pour into you. We think a miracle will produce faith, but it is faith that produces miracles.

Belief is a doorway, the wider it is swung open, the greater the flow of the power of God. Learn to believe like a little child. The problem in our churches is that we have too many believers that believe like adults.

How can you convince others of the reality of Christ when you don’t even believe the words you are praying? The Lord Jesus taught, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).

Praying that you would believe more,

Paul
