Perfect Peace

I see so much anxiety, anger and bitterness in the world. It takes away the abundant life that Jesus came to give us. I want you to know that the Lord Jesus can give you deliverance from everything that burdens you. Friends, you can have a perfect peace. Here are some excerpts from some things I have written for taking hold of this peace:

You can always tell a saint who is close to God. The things of the world just do not matter to them very much anymore. They are at peace even when there is good reason not to be. You can be that saint. “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).

Circumstances: The peace upon us has more to do with His Spirit in us than with the circumstances around us. Circumstances cannot give us peace, but He can.

He engineers our circumstances either to make us who we are, or to reveal who we are.

Don’t only pray for God to change your circumstances, but to change you. Peace is not the result of things around you, but of Christ in you. Jesus said, “…in Me you may have peace…” (John 16:33).

Jesus has you. People will fail you. Plans will unfold. Circumstances will change. The world will crumble. But He has you.

If you want to live the spirit free life, it is not your circumstances that must change, but you. Let the Holy Spirit have His way with you, and your life will never be the same. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

Worries: If you would give the Lord your worries, then He will give you His peace.

What is the one thing in your mind you are worried about? It is the very thing that you are not trusting Him with. You can trust Jesus completely. Give it to Him right now and He will put His peace on you. Pray to Him, then “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

The proof of trusting is in your peace.

Peace comes not from the security of what we have, but in knowing our Lord is sovereign over all we need. The Lord Jesus said, “And do not…have an anxious mind…your Father knows that you need these things. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you” (Luke 12:29-31).

The antics of man: The more time you spend before the Lord, the less you will be affected by the antics of man.

The secret of peace within is in not letting the antics of man trouble you. The Lord Jesus promised, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

The secret to embracing His peace is letting go of everything else. You are enslaved to whatever you hold onto.

Drawing near: Inner peace can never be found outside yourself. The void you have is the void you fill.

Peace is not the lack of a storm, but the presence of God.

The degree of peace you have is measured by the distance between yourself and God. The closer to God, the greater the peace.

The more you surrender beneath Jesus, the more His peace will cover you. Jesus said, “…in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

You cannot make peace with God, rather God makes peace with you. The only way was for Jesus to take your punishment upon Himself. “…The chastisement for our peace was upon Him…” (Isaiah 53:5). Never minimize the cost for reconciling you with God. Peace did not cost you anything, but it cost Him everything.

With every breath you take, God is in you. With every beat of your heart, God loves you. The secret to experiencing the peace of God is in simply realizing that He is always with you. Always. The Lord said, “…Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

In every second of your day, acknowledge God in every way, and let His peace be with you. Jesus said, “…My peace I give to you…” (John 14:27).

Blessings to you,

Paul

    1. Thank you! I think that it is in the morning where the Lord can speak to us the most, as we are still in that quiet place where we can hear His voice.

    1. I was just at a prayer meeting tonight where we spoke about and prayed on overcoming worry and anxiousness. When we stand on the Word we stand on good ground where we can fight back against all the things this world will throw at us. We spoke on Psalm 27:1 and Philippians 4:6-7. Hope you read them and hold them as truth in your life.
