Ministry of Light

God promised light, “…I will make darkness light before them…” (Isaiah 42:16).

Jesus was that Light, “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness” (John 12:46).

We are to be light. “…that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness” (Romans 2:19).

Be the light: Do not see how much darkness you can keep and still make it to heaven. Instead, see how much light you can have and still remain on earth.

Stop complaining about how dark it is, and just be the light. The best way to win an argument with the darkness is to just be the light.

Darkness never knows it is dark until the light appears. Be that light. You don’t have to fear the darkness, the darkness has to fear the light.

Light always shines forth. If Christ is in you, then Christ is through you. “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8).

Your faith is not revealed on the mountain, but in the valley. This is because on the mountain you merely witness His glory light from afar, whereas in the valley your life reflects the measure of His glory light in you.

If there is light in you, people will see it. “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life'” (John 8:12).

Shine into the dark: You cannot illuminate the darkness if you only remain in the light. The darker the room, the more value the light will have.

You cannot speak the light of truth and be popular in a darkened world. Be the light anyway.

Darkness can never approach the light, but light can always come into the darkness. Never think anyone is beyond salvation.

To reach into the darkness we need to be light. We don’t need smarter lights, but brighter lights. Jesus taught, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).

Darkness cannot minister to darkness, but only join it. Light cannot join darkness, but only change it. To teach the dark about light, you need only shine. Just be “children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15).

Preach light: Glory light has no dimmer. It is either there or it is not. Never preach light in the dark.

The reason we do battle using light is that darkness has no defense against it. “…cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:12).

You cannot preach revelation to those in darkness because they cannot see. Instead preach light, that they could see.

Never darken the halls of your church that the devils might be comfortable, but keep the light on that you would expose them. “…what communion has light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14).

The darkness always rejects the light. Never be jealous of popularity knowing darkness is popular to darkness. If the world embraces you, then the light is not in you.

Don’t accept that the unbeliever avoids the church because we reject them. The darkness rejects the light. It is the light that must shine into the darkness. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19).

Light cannot shine out of darkness, only into darkness. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5).

The more light in a room, the less darkness can remain. Be that light.

Blessings to you,

Paul
