God has a calling on your life, but will you listen? Nobody is exempt from the calling of God. The calling is not just for the few, but only the few will respond.
Never think that the higher calling is not for you. It is for you. Stop thinking God is looking for greatness, when all He wants is willingness. Be that willing one.
You are called by His qualifications, not yours. “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world…” (1 Corinthians 1:26-27).
Hold God to His word. He is looking for someone daring enough to be that fool for Him.
Your unique calling: Your calling is as unique as you are. Never limit God’s imagination by your own. God has spent your whole life preparing you for His purposes. Nobody is better prepared for His calling on your life than you are.
When God gives you a calling that makes no sense to the world, it is then you are walking on Kingdom principles.
Ministry is not something you do, but the life you live. Many are called, few will listen, and only the remnant will respond. Be the remnant. Dare to believe that He can use you, and then He will.
Do not worry what His plan for you is, only that you are in it. If the Lord has called you to it, then He will get you through it. If it is in His will then nothing can stop you.
Stop thinking of your calling as a future event, but a present activity. Don’t get lost wondering what your calling is, and just serve Him in every way you can.
Humility in your calling: Jesus is not calling you to a bigger life, but a higher life. He is calling you to something great, not to be great.
Do not seek the title, but live the title that it would seek you. If a teacher, teach. If a writer, write. If a pastor, pastor. If a healer, heal. If a comforter, comfort. If an intercessor, intercede.
Don’t limit your calling to the titles you know, but the leading of the Lord. And then “…walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” (Ephesians 4:1).
Beware telling God His calling for you is not good enough. Never envy the anointing on another, you have no idea what it cost them.
Diligence in your calling: Never wait for everything to fall in place to begin your calling, but begin in faith and watch what God will do.
No man can open a door slammed shut by God. But when once God has opened a door, it is open. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29).
You may be doing good things, but are they the things He wants you to do? Never expect God to help you succeed in a calling that is not for you.
You can’t be everything to everybody, but you can be something to somebody. It is not how many you reach that matters, only that you reach the ones that the Lord has for you.
Suffering in your calling: Never expect ministry to be easy. Not one prophet, priest or apostle had it easy, so why do you think it should be easy for you?
Lose the idealistic view that ministry is peaceful. Ministry is a battle, it is a fight to the finish and nobody goes through it without battle scars.
The Apostle Paul after much suffering wrote, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17).
If ever you think your calling is too hard, consider the Lord Jesus.

I have all the confidence in our mighty Lord that He can do a great thing in you. And your motive is what is the key, that all we need do is seek to love Him more, know Him more, draw ever nearer to Him, and it is there where He will do the greatest work in us, which is Him in us!

Hello! I am not sure of your name, but thank you so much for replying back. I was able to get to your new blog. I read a few of your poems already, was impressed, and will read some more. I really love the written language, as it is the window to the soul. I think as standard issue we should be required to get to know people through letters rather than shallow conversations. How many years can we know someone and not realize a single thing about them that really matters? Hope the best for you in your writing, i encourage you to keep writing.
