If You Would Just Believe

You have no idea what lies on the other side of “if you would just believe”!

People say that if God did something miraculous, then they would believe. But the truth is that if you would just believe, then He will do something miraculous!

Belief is a doorway, the wider it is swung open, the greater the flow of the power of God. “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes'” (Mark 9:23).

Will you believe?

It’s not what you know, it’s what you believe. You can know everything, but if you believe nothing, then your knowledge is not worth anything. But when a man or a woman believes, the power of God can flow through them.

Everything you do apart from the power of God is limited by the natural power of yourself. There is no limit to what God can do in your life, except the limits of what you would believe. “Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You” (Jeremiah 32:17). Faith is believing beyond yourself.

You can’t do if you don’t believe. Faith is the gate that sets the impossible free. You don’t believe because you set limits based on you. Get out of your way!

Sometimes God makes things impossible for you so you will know it is only by His power that you can prevail.

Pray Believing!

An effective prayer is spoken believing that God can do anything. If you are a believer, then pray like one. “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).

Your expectations towards God are the measure of your faith in God. When you pray for rain do you bring an umbrella? Pray expectantly. Believe that God is able, because He is able.

Pray knowing that the Lord is not limited by the boundary of possible. The Lord of the supernatural has no natural limits in the natural He created. Stop praying like an unbeliever. Jesus can walk on water, calm storms, heal the sick, give sight to the blind and raise the dead. He is able, so just pray for it.

The only prayers that get answered are prayers spoken. Pray believing. Pray expecting. Pray, “…to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20).

If you only pray the possible you pray in the natural. It is in the realm of impossibility that we can pray and He will do the impossible. Stop lowering the bar in your prayers to your abilities, and raise it to His.

It is the belief in your heart that ignites the Heavenly Father to act. The Lord Jesus said, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:24).

We have to pray believing for the impossible, for the impossible to happen. “So Jesus said to them, ‘…assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you’” (Matthew 17:20).

Live believing!

The test of our faith is not in arguing what we believe, but in living it. It is not what you say, but what you live. You live what you believe.

It is never in the words you say that faith is revealed, but in the life you live. You wouldn’t have to pretend to look like a believer if you were one.

The Lord Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do…” (John 14:12). Jesus always meant what he said, the only question is will we live it?

The secret to living the abundant life in Christ is that you believe. The crazy thing is that believing is both the simplest thing for us to do, and at the same time, the hardest thing for us to do.

Believe God can do!

The problem is never if God can do. The problem is do we believe He can. Stop making excuses of why you can’t, and just believe that He can.

Believe the words of Christ. He said you can do, so do. He did not come just to save you in your weakness, but to be the power in your weakness. Jesus said, “…you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…” (Acts 1:8). Stop acting Christian and start living Christian.

When I read God’s Word I believe that what He says He can do, that He can do. I stand on His promises. Don’t ever doubt what God can do. “And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Has the LORD’S arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not'” (Numbers 11:23).

Stop telling God what He can’t do and just maybe He will do it.

The problem is never if God can do. The problem is do we believe He can.

He can. So pray like a believer!

Blessings,

Paul
